Is it possible to design a textile that is soft for comfort and solid for construction without adding resins? Can the textile itself be a replacement for foam in furniture? These questions led to the construction of the textile “Between”. The textile is a combination of fibers to make it possible to use textile as a construction material, yet with a soft tactility. The textile is woven in one single fabric using different yarns of recycled and natural fibers.

The lounge chair DUO shows how the textile can be a replacement for usage of foam in furniture. The textile is connected to a steel frame. The textile construction allows the back to be hard for shaping the desired form and the textile in front soft and comfortable for seating.
